An impoverished baron and his friend playing a rich youth though he is in debt decide to get a fortune by marriage. They are favored by the carnival season as well as the fact that the picked girls are sisters so they can fortune-hunt in one place.
Plenty of problems arises with the swindling young men, the parents as well as the girls thus the tables are turned and the plot gets more complicated several times, and though the characters bravely undertake every situation their plans do not pan out as they wanted.
